Dr. Redmond has partnered with people of all ages, ranging from children to adults, to navigate stressful situations and make meaningful changes in their lives through therapy. She is especially passionate about helping children and adults address self-doubt and imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, and burnout. Dr. Redmond also has extensive experience providing psychological evaluations for individuals wondering why they are struggling with attention, organization, social interactions, or learning issues, to gain clarity and identify what supports and strategies will help them become more effective. Dr. Redmond appreciates playing a part in her clients’ growth and development.

  • Dr. Redmond graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, then moved south to attend graduate school at UNC Chapel Hill. While earning her doctorate, she received specialized training in autism assessment and intervention through the UNC TEACCH autism program. Additionally, she worked with children and adolescents in schools, inpatient settings, and mental health clinics. She completed an APA accredited internship through the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine, training in inpatient and outpatient clinics of UNC Hospital. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental disabilities, gaining expertise in autism, ADHD, learning differences, and neurodiverse populations.

    Dr. Redmond began her career in Chapel Hill, NC in a group private practice, where she offered therapy and assessment for children, adolescents, and young adults. A move to Charlotte, NC led Dr. Redmond to a multidisciplinary clinic where she enjoyed collaborating with other professionals to support children and their families. After 11 years with a primarily pediatric focus, Dr. Redmond then joined the VA, where she worked with adults in an outpatient general mental health clinic for several years, incorporating multiple evidence-based psychotherapies into her practice. While at the VA, she served as a clinical supervisor, and was selected to train therapists across the national VA network in cognitive behavioral therapy, among other leadership roles.

    Dr. Redmond has published two book chapters on autism. She gives presentations to professionals, community members, local medical and educational groups, and has appeared on a podcast. She is a member of the North Carolina Psychological Association.

    In her free time, she loves to read, play and listen to music, take her dog on walks, and laugh with her family and friends.
